I grew up on a farm in southeastern Ohio as an only child.  The farm animals and a variety of wild animals served as my pets and  playmates,  which I loved very much.

I have been married to my husband John, for 43 years and we have two grown children and two grandchildren.  Shortly after we were married we purchased our first pom as a pet.  We named her "Pixie".  So it goes without saying that our kennel was named for her, because of the 17 years of love and companionship we shared.

We bred our first litter in 1969 and called our first puppy (a black) "Pixie's Joy".  The next few years we were interested in breeding various colors.

My interest in showing was peaked by the acquisition of an orange show prospect male, Windfalla Of Highland. We had some success, but before we could finish his championship, his life was cut short by an accident. We later purchased a beautiful red sable male, Silver Meadows Alexander, from Jackie Klein of Silver Springs, NY.  "Alex" was to become our first Champion in 1975 (owner-handled).  Many more (40+) champions were to follow in the succeeding years, all having their own special place in our hearts.  Thanks to the kennels who contributed to our success as is evidenced by our pedigrees.

For 42 years, Pomeranians have added "joy" to my life. They cause me to look forward with anticipation to each new day.
